When choosing a domain, or even a show/company/product name, keep in mind this fun fact: most popular domain name length worldwide is 11 characters (example.com is 7). So if yours is close to that it's good news for systems that recognize domain names and do things to make them more usable to users. For example, Twitter shortens URLs over a certain length by default, which does in part pass on Google "link juice" but not as effectively as an un-shortened URL (domain length data from yafla.com).
